Privacy Statement

 

We process personal data within the meaning of European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). The data controller is the French Development Agency (AFD), located at 5 rue Roland Barthes, 75 598 PARIS Cedex 12.

We attach the utmost importance to the protection and confidentiality of personal data.  The purpose of this information is to enable participants to SUFIP to understand how the AFD processes their personal data. 

What personal data processing is implemented? 

The purpose of the processing of personal data is the organization of Sustainable Finance in the Indo-Pacific (SUFIP), that includes the management of registrations and participations to the event. 

The legal basis of the processing is the execution of a public interest mission, since the event is part of the actions carried out by the AFD in the context of its public service mission to contribute to economic progress, social and environmental issues in low- and middle-income countries.

The AFD therefore processes the following data in this context:

-    Identification and authentication data (name/first name/email address/password)
-    Connection and navigation data (logs, IP address).
-    Data associated with the user account (Country/area; Institution, job title).

Who has access to the data? 

The data are collected and processed by Pointe Noire Agency on behalf of the AFD. There are only accessible to personal of the AFD and Pointe Noire Agency internal who need to know about it in the context of their mission.
The data collected may be communicated as needed to other third-party service providers, acting on behalf of AFD. Such information sharing shall be carried out only to the extent necessary to carry out the tasks we entrust to these third parties and provided that they undertake to comply with our instructions.  Where the nature of the operation allows, the data shall be anonymised beforehand before being communicated. 
In addition, in order to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, we may be required to communicate personal information to administrative or judicial authorities upon a specific written request, The reasons for this are the legislative texts on which the right of communication is based.

How long do we keep your data?

The data associated with your registration and participation will be deleted within six months after the event. 

Our commitments

Our goal is to always keep your personal data in the safest and most secure way, and only for the duration necessary to achieve the purpose pursued by the processing. With this in mind, we put in place the appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures to prevent any alteration, loss of your data or unauthorized access to it.
Your rights
You can, under the conditions defined by the applicable regulations, access your data or request their erasure. You also have a right of opposition, of rectification and a right to the limitation of the processing of your data. To exercise your rights, or for any question relating to your personal data, you can send a request to our Data Protection Officer here.
You have the right to appeal to a national supervisory authority such as the CNIL in the event of a violation of the applicable regulations on the protection of your personal data.
